Yadkin Valley Hounds held our 36th Annual Opening Hunt October 27, 2012. We participate in live foxhunting in Davie, Iredell, and Yadkin counties in North Carolina. We have both first and second fields — the former follows the Huntsman closely taking all jumps, the latter following at a somewhat slower pace and going around fences.
We meet twice a week, Wednesday and Saturday mornings, during the hunting season, mid-September through mid-March. Specific times and locations are announced on the Fixture Card.
YVH members enjoy a full social calendar throughout the year, from casual picnics to elegant evenings.

Annual Meeting of the Membership 2013


MFH Jerry McKenzie was given the Betsy Poole Award for his dedication and service to YVH over many decades. MFH Kim Sigmon gave him a substitute to hold until the real thing is engraved with his name. Congratulations, Jerry!
 
Kim Sigmon presents colors to Mike Ball who has earned them by joining the hunt field for two seasons. His volunteer service to the club has been for many more years than that. Congratulations, Mike!
